Vote Yes for Shoreline Schools

Check out the MP PTSA Legislative Page for more information on what's going on in our city, district and state.

Communities that value their citizens and neighborhoods also value their educational systems. Shoreline and Lake Forest Park have a long history of supporting our schools, indeed the schools are the foundation of our cities in many ways. Click here for a summary of the proposals.

As a Shoreline Schools supporter, you understand the importance of casting a YES ballot in the upcoming election. We need to make sure all YES voters turn in their ballots prior to February 9th. Every YES vote counts! For more information, visit the Campaign's Web site

Make cell phone calls from home or with the PTSA on Thursday January 21 at the MP Roller Skating Party! The Manager of Lynnwood Bowl and Skate gave us the party room for FREE to make our cell phone calls, so make sure to let your friends know that we want them to make a few calls while they wait for their kids. We will give you a class list and a script! How easy is that?

Put up a yard sign! E-mail Suzanne Gugger at suzanneeg@comcast.net to get one.

Bond & Levy Information (At-A-Glance)

Shoreline School District leadership officially began the planning to place three measures on the February 2010 ballot: a Maintenance and Operations (M&O) Levy, a Bond, and a Capital Projects Levy for Technology Support.

The M&O Levy is a replacement levy—this must be renewed every four years; it provides approximately 20% of the district’s general fund revenues.

The Bond is intended to provide the funds needed to follow through with the modernization / replacement of Shorewood and Shorecrest High Schools.

The Capital Levy for Tech Support would provide funds to be used for additional staff to support technology and tech integration, and equipment replacement and repair.
More information will be coming soon.

To view the high school designs, go to www.shorelineschools.org and click on “Capital Projects.”
